Children Library and podcast

I come across of a title talking about children learning on podcasting.Then I realized how important is the multimedia in Children Libraries. And how this new new technology is not benefiting on adults but also own children. And I would like change this piece of informations.http://www.readingrockets.org/podcasts/
 

What is a podcast?

A podcast is like a radio show. However, instead of being broadcast live, a podcast is recorded and then distributed over the internet, so that you can listen to it whenever you please. There are thousands of podcasts available, ranging from general interest entertainment shows to those which focus on specific topics (e.g. computers / music / education).

How do children benefit from making a podcast?

  It gives them a potential audience of thousands for their work.

  It's great for developing literacy skills (writing scripts, setting up interviews etc), allows children to develop and practise their speaking and listening skills, and they also learn some amazing ICT skills.

  Podcasts can be interactive, and the audience can be invited to send their comments, giving valuable feedback to the children about their work.

 I've found that making a podcast is also great for developing teamwork skills. The children always work together really well, as they're always keen to make a great show.

Information networking

I hope information network will prove resource application and website development in the public library and solve problems. And also share information and improve information service,resource sharing and networking are used interchangeably as synonymous terms for collaborative efforts of information exchange among libraries.
I look on internet about networking and shaing information then I come across this piece of information.

"Networking is information/resource sharing through computers and telecommunication links which transmit information or data from one library to another. “Networking is more structured type of cooperation in which definite regions or areas or definite organizations are connected by electronic or other means to promote inter-library loaning of materials,in-service training and other sharing of resources.” It can be stated that library cooperation and resource sharing have been replaced by the modern term networking with the same connotation except technological application for achieving the objectives of resource sharing. Networking has become a very powerful link in the coordination and dissemination of library resources.
